Oh, how true! I have no problem with the People there... even the employees for the most part as long as I don't have to deal with them. Most everyone has to work somewhere, right? Most can't help being how they are, God love 'em.
But The Store! And the Corporate Line they force down the throats of the workers.... Did you ever see the 60-Minutes expose' where it showed them in Required morning "Pep Rallies" where they have to stand around shouting "Walmart! Walmart!, ad nauseum......Makes me wanna puke!

That's good! If I ever get back to writing for an alternative publication again maybe I'll do just that!

Apple stores do this too btw . . .

My wife has banned me from WM. She gets embarassed because I become so obnoxious. In Costco I usually nazi salute the ID checker. She won't let me go there either. My plan is working.

I think I would have to quit as well. If my hard work and dedication to the company isn't enough for them to realize that I am a devoted employee, well, Puck 'em, feed 'em fish heads and rice!

One thing I do to the door checkers is sort of slide up to them and in a low voice say, "Just how do y'all expect me to Shoplift if y'all are gonna be at the doors watching!?!"
Freaks them out eveytime! And gets me watched closely, I'm sure!
And also ensures that when we go to the "Marts" I get to stay in the car while the GF shops!

Yes. I would like to complain too. Whenever I go to Chinatown to shop, I see all these Asian-like Chinese people. Man, whatever happened to the days when only white people shopped?

Where can I shop where there are only white people? BTW, this would be an impossible situation to have.

And whenever I'm forced to go to Disneyland, I have to share a Space Mountain seat with a sweaty, overweight person from wherever. Maybe Disney should build a Walmart nearby with their own Temple of Doom ride to divert these folks there.

I saw three of those on the list today and I was only there for 15 minutes.

Ahhhh, maybe I should head out to Chinatown to shop... I like "Asian-like Chinese people." Especially the ladies.

I'm not talking about payday and title loan shops. That's a whole other industry designed to punish stupid people. I'm talking about folks who pay a fee to cash a check someone else wrote them, like a paycheck, tax refund, social security check, etc. It's sooooo easy to cash them for free. Why would anyone pay for it? I really do live in an alternate universe.

I was researching hair styling tools for a business plan I'm writing and discovered a Walmart was less than 5 miles away (in OC, where I just moved the hell away from this week). I had to ask three uniformed Walmart staff people before I found one who could understand 'hair styling.' The older fellow who understood me appeared to be from somewhere on the Indian subcontinent and was kind enough to guided me to a woman behind a counter in the hair care area who was then able to point out where combs, curling irons, etc. were. I snapped some shots of product with the phone and got the hell out.

I would not have won at Walmart bingo, but I got a very bad feeling from the place, perhaps colored by what I've read about their treatment of workers. I think the feeling was of sadness and resignation by the folks working there.

Umm...there's a new invention out...something called "Google Images"...

I use it to see fat women in spandex when I'm too lazy to go to Wal-Mart.

That's great, but I needed SKU information and I needed to know date and place.

Please do not post the pictures of the spandex-clad ladies!

Nothing even slightly useful there, but thanks for trying.

I had to wait to take this shot while three very large women were standing, transfixed by the prospect of buying a hair brush -- for what seemed like forever. OTOH, I'm not a big fan of large stores like this in general.
