I was enjoying the onset of puberty.

Graduated from high school. Driving a '69 bug. Started college where the ratio was 7:1 females to male. Pretty happy times all around.

Graduated from College. Spent that summer hangin in Bezerkeley. Still had my college job driving ferryboats at night. Later that fall decided to go to OCS.

Been really flying ever since.

It was both good and bad. My wife was born, of course but my older brother was killed in a car accident at 17YO. I was 8.

My wife was born in September and my brother was killed in October.

It's very strange to think that while my family was grieving the loss of my brother(oldest son), 100 miles away, my in-laws were experiencing the joy of their first born child.:(

Wow, that's pretty heavy.

+1 on the graduated from high school AND driving a '69 bug.

College ratio of males to females was 2:1 (against), but managed to have good times nonetheless.

I raced at least two of every year model XR75 Honda made back then, as well as Yamaha's YZ80's. Then graduated up to a Honda 250 Elsinore. I remember them well.

My new 8 track tape player!

It was a quadraphonic system. I installed it in my new 1974 914 2.0 that I bought on September 13th 1974. It does not seem possible that day was 35 years ago yesterday.

I vividly remember playing ZZ Top's song La Grange at max volume while screaming down the back roads of Alabama. I bought that album first on quadraphonic 8 track. When that tape died I replaced it with a standard 8 track. When that died I bought a cassette tape. When that died I finally bought a vinyl album. When CDs came out I bought it again. Then I bought the ZZ Top 6 pack so I bought it again. It is still one of my favorite albums.

Here I am in 1975. I remember Ford being POTUS, but nothing of Nixon or Vietnam.

my first 911 was made in '75 (now in BC), but it would take me decades to buy it.

I was driving an older BMW 2002 all over the Oregon deserts...

I got that album in 1977, IIRC.

This was the year my family moved from what had become the 'hood, more or less, to the 'burbs. My two bros and I each had our own rooms, had the bikes, skateboards, family dog etc. Good schools and good friends. Simple times. Good times.
