This is a heartbreaking murder.

I have some morbid interest in true crime stories. I can't remember the last time someone reported missing turned up alive, aside from Elizabeth Smart. This latest one at Yale is so sad. She was to be married today. I knew when I first heard about this a few days ago that she'd be found dead. Can't imagine this happening to someone I know, much less my fiancee just before the wedding.

I hope they have some evidence...something to go on to catch whoever did this...

HardDrive 09-14-2009 12:29 AM

She never left the building where she was working, and she was found hidden in a wall in a basement area. This was not random. An arrest is not far off.

pwd72s 09-14-2009 12:43 AM

Hope you're right...seems to me DNA testing could come into play here...

Rick Lee 09-14-2009 06:35 AM

I don't know how they can't catch this perp. Body left at crime scene, 75 cameras in the area, you need to swipe a card to get into the bldg. They'll solve this one in short order. Doesn't make her any less dead though.

Bloody clothes found in ceiling space above tiles is not from the victim.

Killer had to have 'intimate knowledge' of building because of where remains were found.

stomachmonkey 09-14-2009 05:07 PM

My wife's Aunt and Uncle are friends of the grooms family and were supposed to be at the wedding.

Goes without saying, hope they catch whoever did it.

Rick Lee 09-14-2009 05:11 PM

No doubt they will get this guy. I heard they already have someone with defensive wounds who failed a poly. Dunno about that, but this can't be too hard to solve.

m21sniper 09-14-2009 07:13 PM

Too bad for her she didn't carry any self defense weapons. Not even pepper spray i'll bet.

Tobra 09-15-2009 07:23 PM

Found her body stuffed in a wall. They like a lab tech who worked in the building for this.

I fuigure she knew the guy and did not feel threatened.

m21sniper 09-15-2009 09:53 PM

I guess she was wrong.

I keep one of those one-hand opening pocket folders in my front pocket all the time.

Just in case.

Never know when some lab tech is going to try to stuff you into a wall.

RWebb 09-15-2009 09:54 PM

"Neighbors...cheered as police led him away."

likely perp was a lab tech there and just arrested this pm

m21sniper 09-15-2009 09:56 PM

I vote they torture him and stuff him in a wall.

Just shove him naked into a room with her fiancee, family & friends...then walk away.

Kind of like my theory of what should happen to Osama Bin Laden, if caught alive...turn him loose in the middle of NYC's central park at a well publicized time.

How about turn him loose on the roof of an 80-story building... pinned in a corner by three guys with flame throwers?

I'm sure you get my drift.

dewolf 09-15-2009 11:56 PM

A bit away from this heinous act, but another heinous act just the same. This dudes execution was delayed because they couldn't find a vein!!! Stick it in his dick!!

Nah, then he gets a choice how he dies. I like the central park idea.

The usual nonsense. Pit Bull kept caged in his apartment. We over-protective and abusive of his live in girlfriend..

Most likely he got this job through a prison furlough or some such BS.
