Reminds me of a situation IRL a few years ago. We had a couple in our group of friends that would insist on commandeering the host’s television during the yearly Christmas party to present a slide show of their AMAZING annual pilgrimage to Disneyworld. Quite a vibe quasher. As I could care less about DL I would use the time to scan the room and try to think what everyone (who would smile and nod, tilting their heads in enjoyment) was really thinking.

Finally one year, one of the ladies methinks (a bit over-served on the nog) had enough and let it rip on what everyone really thought. I guess she couldn’t scroll past anymore.

Well, my point in posting a few of mine, is that these cheesecake photos of young girls and celebrities are carefully crafted, artfully posed and lit, and for the most part have some degree of digital manipulation. They’re really sort of cartoons.

Nothing wrong with that fantasy. We all have it. But quite a few of our wives and daughters could be just as much a fantasy with the same photographesr, makeup artists, and digital editors. I first met Mrs Dave at when she was 23 years old. I don’t mind saying she was jaw dropping, with or or without makeup. These modern “internet influencers” couldn’t hold a candle to her. Aerobics instructor, windsurfer, runner, gym rat, blonde hair, golden tan, million watt smile, just gorgeous. And brilliant too, but we’re talking physical stuff here, not intellect.

But what really impresses me is 35 years later she’s still hot. She’s had an Impressive career, given me a beautiful daughter, feeds me well, loves me, cares for me, drives our p-cars with zest (we're driving the ‘57 out to rennsport at the end of the month), hikes, skis, runs, tells me to get my lazy ass out of bed at 4;30 am and go to the gym with her. She’s a bad ass, with a good ass. She’s still nice to look at, in or out of her clothes. Yeah, she’s aged, but so have I. She’s doing it well, and I’m proud of her.

In my mind, that’s way cooler than some self absorbed 20 year old posing for money on the internet .

This is not a, “compliments only,” thread. Someone clicking on it for the first time could easily miss the detail that a bikini photo is a forum member’s wife and make an extremely rude comment. Especially on this thread. It’s a train wreck.

There have been multiple threads on this forum where we post pictures of our wives and mothers. Those are, “compliments only,” threads. Why the **** would you post a picture of your wife here?

If you're proud of your wife and think that she's beautiful and don't see a problem with posting photos of her if that's your thing. It's not my thing, but that doesn't mean that my way is right and your way is wrong. We're just different. Thank goodness, we're different, because if everyone was the same, this would be a boring, crappy place to be.
