sounds like a good idea but why not just get a regular tiny pedal bike and take the crank and chain off till they can use it

We have one that was handed down to us by a friend. His little guy almost wore the tread off of the tires! His dad actually took it away from him to force him to learn to pedal on a tricycle.
My little guy will be on it next spring.... Should be fun!

I've come upon this thread a little late, but I am considering buying a Kinderbike for my 3 yr old daughter. Up here in Calgary, AB, Canada we can get them for about $100 which is pretty good considering some models can cost as much as $300!

Would like to get the Porsche one, but at $195, it didn't get too many favourable reviews.
