How in the world are you going to prove someone shot at you? You'll be admitting to trespassing to even tell this story to the police. The property owner could have been target shooting on his own property and not even seen you. Try proving otherwise.

Please...this incident never happened. Don't bite the troll bait. SmileWavy

Pics or it didn't happen.

I assume most posts are factually true.

as to RIck's query, you'd prove it the same way you prove any other crime.

if you cannot get purpose, you go for knowledge; if not that then you go for eckeless (endangerment)

if you don't get that then you cans till go civil on him and go for negligent

he also said police so it may be in a town or city - so that means unlawful discharge -- another crime

I've been shot. (accidental, with a .45)
I've been shot at. (not accidental. in a govt. housing project while on a photo assignment))
I've been threatened with being shot again. (many, many times. comes with the territory)

What I gleaned through all this is none of it's fun. But I survived. You will, too.

But. Stay the heck off OPP. In this case, "other people's property."

City Dwellers.

Not me. I actually reside about 40-miles outside my listed location.
Deep Woods Off can't even protect us against mosquitos we're so far in the woods.
We shoot people ie: Trespassers out there, too.

Just forget about it! You don't have better things to do with your time?

It never fails. Every year some city dweller decides to buy a "hobby farm" and then ends up shooting some moral mushroom hunter. Mr. City dweller then finds himself in jail.

This is very simple.

OP trespassed. You don't wanna get shot at, then ask permission before you enter someone else's private property and mess with their possessions.

Based on the the pics OP posted there is no way unlawful discharge applies. Pure farm country.

I would not be surprised if the local po po and property owner are related.

I'll reserve judgment on whether this story is real or not, but, all of the photos seem to show a fence between the photographer and the cars. Fences usually are erected along property boundaries. Assuming that's the case here, then the photos don't show any trespass (of course who knows what happened when pictures weren't being taken).

You guys crack me up.

McLovin 11-08-2009 08:24 PM

It's amazing so many people have zero ability to discern between reality and complete fiction.

It's actually quite surprising.

Geez you Porsche guys really are a bunch of snobs.

I found these cars in a field while deer hunting, I posted on here - the self proclaimed biggest and best 911 forum on the interweb, hoping for help in determining if these cars had any value as a project.

I was encouraged to go back and get photos. Even once I got the photos, I was called a liar - some even implied that the photos were photoshopped.

I then went back a 3rd time on the advise of guys on this forum to get serial numbers and nearly got shot at. There were no 'No Trespassing' signs that I saw.

Then the main thread got closed. What a bunch of snobs.

Makes me wonder if I would buy anything from Pelican if I ever do buy a 911 to restore. Hey - isn't the purpose of this forum to attract business to Pelican Parts, not chase it away?

Why are you making fun of my screen name / Avatar? VEGEEN dates back to my childhood in the old country and the rough translation is 'Fast Gene'.

Eugene.
