The good news is that I only work until 3:15 on holiday weeks. I normally work 7:00 - 4:15 M-Th and 7:00 - 10:45 Friday, but so that each employee recieves the same number of hours of vacation, I'm told to revert to a "normal" schedule during holiday weeks.
The bad news is that after a very boring day, I will get an urgent phone call/e-mail/IM at 3:14...

Hey I like holiday work nobody to distract or annoy me. Get to work without being interrupted. And longer coffee breaks.

I love sitting around, this time of year, twiddling my thumbs all day...and then having some sort of emergency roll in (or better yet, phone in that they're on their way) in the last 30 minutes of the normal workday.

Yep, good time of year to "catch up", but real work doesn't get done because hardly anybody is in the office...

Come in late, long holiday lunches, the only way to survive and leave early.
The good old days of expense account tabs. |
