Yahoo annoyances..

Never mind the annoying mouse-over pop-up hell.. Any suggestions why the new Yahoo home page looks like this on one of my computers?? I've tried all the suggestions of deleting temp files, flushing the cache, clearing cookies, draining the weasel, etc. Makes no difference.

Change for the sake of change, just to mess it up.. so many things seem to be going this route lately? Don't even get me started on "new and improved" packaging...

I don't know how to help you, but I concur that Yahoo is annoying. In fact, I really hate Yahoo. I installed Messenger on a whim, and I swear Yahoo programs have been like a cancer on my machine ever since. Yahoo freaking everywhere. Die Yahoo, die.

Yeah, I used to use Yahoo back in the day, but Google took over about 8-10 years ago, and has been better since.

I have seen that before. It doesnt look like it loaded the entire page. hit your "page refresh" button at the top of your browser and see if it gets it.

Is the latest IE installed? Mabye they have a new format which doesn't work with older versions(grrrr). Is there script/popup blocking through the virus software?
Sorry I can't be of better help.

Another vote for ditching yahoo for google. It's not "change for change's sake", and it'll likely be the last such change you make.

Dump Yahoo. Yahoo toolbar is borderline virus material.

I fully understand the pervasive mood to go google (and I do). I also agree that their "virus" apps are to be avoided at all costs! It also really bugs me that so many other legit products you must have, try to load them as well! For that matter, I won't load google's TB either!

I use both searches as sometimes one gives me more appropriate results than the other. I also use some of their other things occasionally.. News and Finance pages work just fine... or at least enough for slack times.

It's more like.. just bugging me why it's so hosed up. This is the only page IIRC that looks like this though?

For the record: Refresh makes no difference, always looks like this. IE7 (can't trust IE8). Did load FF 3.5.5 and it works fine. Kind of limited as to what I can change due to restrictions and possibility of messing up other apps I need to work. Some of those require IE so I can't dump that (as much as I'd like to).

Hold down CRTL
Hit F5 (refresh)
Wait for the page to finish loading
Release CRTL

If that doesn't fix it could be their problem not yours.

I'd just like to know how I can keep Yahoo from trying continually reinstall their !@#$%^&* Toolbar onto Firefox all the time.

Yes, I also hate yahoo...
