Since you proclaimed your opinion about dipso's homage to Jackson Pollack - "should have painted it on BLACK VELVET", I'm wondering if you have a more "in depth" contribution to make to his thread.

They are indeed. Do you think "art" is about "beauty" and "prettiness"?

I like it. To see if it actually measures up to a Pollock, read the following about fractal geometry and chaos theory.
UNSW Resources (PHYSICS!) - Fractal Expressionism Who knows? You may have created a masterpiece. Tabs might even buy it.

This is getting to be a habit of yours. Maybe she'll let you hang it in the garage.

For lack of a better description a good piece of art has an ELECTRIC quality about it..it has vibrancy or life to it...how is that for being analytical..
I really don't want to delve too deeply into the aspects of art at the moment so I have remained largely flippant For what it is worth Dippys painting looks to be a decent FAUX Pollock. It probably lacks the depth of a real Pollock though?

I just spent about 10 minutes of my life reading this thread. It was fun and entertaining. Maybe I need to go buy some culture.
Naaaah.

Isn't that like looking at the below and asking: literature or amateur?

![]() Dipso, in this photo the work looks like a small entryway into something frenetic and uncontrolled. It kind of gives me the creeps/shivers. How about "Doorway to Chaos" as the title?
