I've had one since '03. Wish I had sprung for a Corbin seat right away, have put up with the stock one so long I can't justify the money now. It's been a great bike, has needed nothing but routine maintainance.

ThumperTalk is a great resource, there's even a guy on there who installed a turbo on his DRZ. Great bike, have fun.
