How about some some Belgium Browning Hi-Powers? If have this exact pistol and love to shoot it. Bought it used in 1988, made in 1982.

Hi power would be a better choice than a 1911 IMO. 1911's are awesome, but they're so common.
How about the ultimate spoon gift? A matched set of Sig P210s? Got $5k laying around? ![]()

S&w 460? It's a beast! Kahr mk9 as , stated above, is a very underrated gun

Where can I find one? I've searched the HK site and the regular used gun sites to little avail.
Was it a production unit? Daddy's got some soup and I need a spoon.

I suspect the hard chrome is a custom job. Just my suspicion.
Actually any of the all-steel Kahrs look great with wood grips. Made in the USA, too. ![]() ![]()

If he is complainin about the cost of 45ACP then get him somethin that he can shoot that don't cost an arm an a leg...a nice 22 LR revolver or auto....
Since he has a big S&W 357...get the compaion S&W Mdl 17 or 617....if ya want sumtin special for his retirement why not get a CUSTOM shop...with his name engraved. I would NOT suggest AFTER MARKET engraving as it hurts the value...but names engraved by the factory make the suckers go through the roof in value, and it becomes a heirloom.

I have long had a SIG 210-6...best 9mm EVER MADE..rock solid gun. BUT they are costly, always have bin...my suggestion is to buy an older one as the late production was not up to the snuff of the earlier ones.
Only knock on the gun is that it only holds 8 shots...

I vote for consecutive serial numbered 1911's. SIG's are great and I've owned about 10 of them. But the older generation appreciates 1911's more. I vote for either series 70 Commanders or blackened stainless Springfields.

A good looking P7 just sold for $575 last night on ARFCOM. I almost jumped on it, but have other things in mind.
If you like the blk stainless look, check out the Kimber Eclipse also. They use a black oxide that should hold up better than the SA sprayed and baked coating. You already know about my experience with SA, and I would recommend handling the spoons before you purchase to inspect for the things I found with mind. I'll keep mine now that they are upgrading me to a Trophy Match frame, otherwise I'd probably had jus sold it and bought a custom built spoon. Perhaps that's what you should so. Get a pair of personalize 1911s and have them engraved or whatever to make them two of a kind. |

Here's a brand new P7 if your soup bowl is big enough.
WTS: NIB HK P7 PSP unfired (1983) - AR15.COM And someone got a good deal on a used one: WTS P7 PSP $575 Grade 1! SPF - AR15.COM Last edited by MotoSook; 02-08-2010 at 06:26 PM.. |

For that kind of money, I'd be shopping for a P7M8.

Some Full House Belgian P35 love. Ted Yost style. I'd still rather have a pre B CZ75, but this was really a great piece.
![]() ![]() ![]() And a P7M8 that Tripp hard chromed for me. Not the greatest pic, but still a nice looking blaster

They even re-engrave the markings after refinishing. It's absolutely top notch. I'm trying to decide how to refinish my PSP:
