It really depends on your personality and ultimately what you're looking for. I readily acknowledge that the TT will not compare to the Boxter in sheer performance and track prowness. I did throw a GIAC chip and Forge DV on my TT (supposedly bumping HP from 225 to 250) and it sure brightened up the acceleration - more than plenty to entertain me on the freeway on ramps. IMO a daily driver should prioritize a comfortable interior, conveniences, and rewarding driving experience over strict 0-60 times or shaving 3 seconds in a lap time. The fact is that my TT spends 95% of driving time eating highway commuter miles. I have sat in the 'newer' (water cooled) Porsches including the Boxter and IMO the TT blows them away with interior fit and finish. Again ymmv.

I'm going to steer her to the Boxster. Next weekend we'll take the 73 to a few dealerships for test drives.

I'll be looking at a Boxster S, come springtime. I've had the similar conundrum for the last year or so. I thought the TT was cool, but after dealing with them at my old shop, I steered away. The Pirate Jag will be sold (XJRRRRRRRRRRR), and the Boxster S will be replacing it.
I used to think Boxsters were girly cars until I drove my first one. Great car.
