Except its not made by HP.... So it won't be junk.... I've not been impressed with anything modern HP....

Doubtful.... I'd say midsummer as usual... Hopefully Radioshack will be set up to sell them by then so I won't have to wait in a humongous line....

I can just have the radioshack manager at work hold one back for me... :D

So, will this phone be for Verizon, or sprint . . .or anyone other than AT&T?

I have no clue.... The AT&T contract has to be up soon... But IDK... I'm already on AT&T so no worries.....

I heard that Apple wants to (is) making a phone for the other carriers => this may not be slated for AT&T.

I think they will go to all carriers once the AT&T contract is up.... I don't see them tying themselves to one carrier again.... Just doesn't make sense...

If they do go to all carriers, ask your boss to set one aside for me too and send it as a gift... :):):)

I wish Gizmondo had listed the components inside. Including whether it uses the A4 or other Apple/PA Semi chip that the iPad uses, or the Samsung chip that the iPhone uses, or something else.

Anyway, looks good and I think I'll be ready for a new phone - daughter will be delighted w/ her hand me down 3G . . .

hmmm... I'm a bit wondering how many super-secret iPhones Apple had to lose (wink wink) before the intrigue stories hit the fan . . .boys. --not to imply that Apple would do anything to compel others to give them free press.

Unfortunately for us, Apple intends to keep this a secret. There are no markings on the board, but even so, the board was encased in metal all around so nothing could get through and would be very difficult to remove without breaking the device. They really didn't want people looking inside.

I wanted to make sure I didn't damage the components beyond repair, so I didn't take the metal off. So this is as much as I could learn without actually breaking the phone. And this is why I couldn't find out if there was an A4 processor—like the iPad's—in this iPhone. I also couldn't really identify many parts, because they were hidden under the metal sheath.
