XJ13 for an aluminium-bodied one.

Which would you take? The twelve cylinder one in the video, with the motor in the correct place, XK-SS, C or D type, the latter with the inline 6 up front.

You could have what is to me, the Steve McQueenmobile, the SS. The two seater with a windshield gives it the edge over the C type. They have all sorts of stuff, and would probably make whatever you want. Bet they are all plenty fast

I'd take the XJ13 because there is only one, so no shame in a replicar.

Cool car, but who ever chose to put that FUGLY steeringwheel in it, should be shot in the nuts and denied medical care....

Glorious.

I saw this example at the Russo and Steele auction at Monterey last year.

it's a replica, but I think it still went for a few mil.

Wow. The wheels are a bit "kit car" - but the rest of it is fantastic!

The entire cockpit area is terrible. Love the rest of the car but if I bought it would gut the dash and do it the way Jag did it originally. Right now it looks like a Lazer 917 kit car dash IMHO.

I was thinking the same thing but it wouldn't take much to put it right.

But as posted above... Who would pay Millions for a replica?

Aside from the gauges, switches and lights in front of the driver, yep it might be period correct.
