Turned 23 on June 16th

Stole my Porsche at 22!

Life is good but, only when the damn car runs!

52. Bought my first Porsche in 1971. A 356C bought totally on the spur of the moment. Traded a great '68 Cougar XR-7 for it. It was followed by a '68 911, and then a new '73 914 2.0.

OK, I admit it I'm 47!!!
Got my first p-car at ripe old age of 19, too expensive to keep up so I went with good old american iron, had a plethora of corvettes, camaros, then graduated to '69 jaguar xke (which was more expensive than p-car). Finally came to my senses about 8 years ago - purchased '75 911S - beautiful car, but, tough to keep it running. Purchased current '77 911S two years ago, just finishing it, and truly enjoying p-car ownership again. As far as all the veterans out there, thank you. I have two sons, one in the army in Germany (who just blessed me with my first grandchild, a boy) - the other in the Marines in Hawaii who just returned from Afghanistan.

This has got to be the longest post! I'm 25, 4 years younger than my car, gotta love that I wouldn't have it any other day...at least not till I get a newer 911, oh yeah I'd have to win the sweepstakes first. I'll save you all the pain of seeing my mug though. Drive on...

Nathan

I'll be 55 this August. Wanted a Porsche since I was stationed Germany in '67, bought my first Porsche (a 951) the spring of '98, it burnt in a car fire (damn those old fuel lines) in July of 2001, bought my present car ( a '78 SC) in August of 2001. All my experience before 1998 was with American iron but I'm trying to learn Porsche fast.

Cordially,

Jerry M

Born 12/30/30 - Started restoring Porsche's in '65 when I bought a '59 coupe for $600. I've done a lot of them since then. My latest is a '71 911T.

Newbie sounds off

I am joining the ranks of 40 something this November. My goal was to get my first Porsche before I turned 25, then it was 30, 35, and finally 40. Mission accomplished! My dream car, my first Porsche, my 911, my engineering marvel, is now considered a 'classic'. I can only wonder what it would have been like to drive this car off the dealership lot.
