I'm 54. Graduated Univ of Tx. in June '73. Bought my first Porsche brand new in the same week. It was a new 1973 914 1.7 for $3800.00 ---- and I've owned a Porsche of one sort or another ever since. But with the exception of a 914 2.0 & a 1977 911, they've all been long hood 911's (and one 912). That is until 2004 when we added our second new Porsche to the family, a 2004 Boxster. We still have a long hood "perpetual project", which I hope to complete in time to drive to my daughter's wedding nxt year. I used to drive her to Junior High School in that same car. She's 26 now. As some wise man once said ... "the older I get, the faster I was!". And as for you autoXers out there ... look out... I'll be back.

43 going on 17...particularly when driving a red P-car. On my second, 1st was an '86 Targa with the black interior. Had to part with her 5 years ago as part of ..uh.. domestic peace settlement shall we say...who the heck would have thought she would have taken me up on that offer???...dumbass...served me right. Finally got over that by finding the Cabriolet I always wanted. Actually...who am I kidding, I'll never really get over that...

Data collection test? Beats me how to attach a spreadsheet.
If someone can attach an Excel sheet, then you data geeks could actually do all of the average, mean, etc.

Wayne might be interested in the demographic, although I would think Porsche parts have no demographic; parts is parts.

My guess is average being 40, and the mean being 34.

question: "How old are you???"

answer: "I drive a Porsche, my age is irrelevant"

as Ren would say..." What does it all mean???"

Stimpy sez....it means, you are only as old as the type of car you chose to drive....only thing that sez "young" more then a Porsche goin' down the road, is an F-15 taxiing out to take off....

According to the real world i'm 39

According to the wife i am 10 years old and still playing with toys!

If Im not workin on it, im surfin the net lookin for more parts so i can be workin on it.
She complains about all the time spent procuring parts or in the garage "playing" (her word for it) with the Porsche. i tell her ill sell the car and go back to staying out all night, drinkin, playin darts and whorin around. this usually shuts her up for the race season cause at leaset she knows where i am. even money its in the garage "playing with that damn Porsche"

Fell in love with 911's at 10.

35, now.

Gave up a 16 Year hospitality career to play with Porsche 911's full time!

I was 47 when this thread started and I didn't have a Porsche. I was 51 when I finally bought the car I had wanted for decades.
