41 and counting
|
I figured I'd chime in:
I was born the same year as the first production model year of the 911 Turbo (Type 930). Anyone?.... Anyone?..... That's right, 1975, making me, uhh, 26. The pictures are of what I like to do when I'm not obsessing over 911's, or trying to kill myself on a motorcycle. I would say it is one of the things that keeps me sane, however most think I am INsane for doing it! http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate...ads/me0001.JPG http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate...oads/me002.JPG |
Turned 35 in July. Some day I will take the time to figure out how to post a picture. I hope Santa brings me a digital camera for Christmas.

Unfortunately I'll be going into my seventh decade next year, so figure that out. Still young enough to enjoy driving & working on my cars, going to the beach in So. Cal., body surfing, kayaking, mountain climbing & generally enjoying myself. Hope you guys can do the same.
Happy holiday to all of you! |
Yes, the Wedge is still going strong. I actually grew up body surfing and boogie boarding Marine Street in La Jolla, which is a similar break. Nowadays when I can sneak into the water it is either in Newport at around 56th street/river jetties, or up north at Zuma. My 5 year old comes out with me on the boogie board on occasion.
So is there a correlation between age and year of car owned? Seems like one should own a P-car that mas made around the time they turned 16. Although for some of the codgers this would be a challenge, and for the younger cats, a bit expensive ;) That formula means that my next one should be an SC. I suppose that would put me in good graces with the SCWDP (as long as I don't sell it...doh!) |
30 - anyone else have a problem turning 30 that lasted a couple months and felt like a pre-mid-life crises? It seems this is the threshold for having to actually grow up.

I am 30 years older than my 911.

26 but marriage and work have taken a toll. I now have lines at the corners of my eyes and my 33 year old wife gets carded and I dont.

Paul, I don't smile often. I look like a Versaci model when i do. ;)
I like to think I was a model youth... spearheading the development of holding a drill against the cab of a '51 Studebaker truck while not actually doing anything. |

But, even as a lad... I still knew I had a higher purpose...
....a more important role to play in the world. ...to dominate... ...yes even from my humble beginnings, I knew that some day I would lead an organization of SC owners to total world supremecy. |
Will be 37 next month.
|
I'm 24... and will be 25 in February. ;)

How old are...
Unless some other old f**t checks in soon, I'm going to claim top honors with a 77--which is admittedly older than mud! I wonder what there is about this board that captured so many 32-33 yr.olds. Now that would make an interesting topic!

Eric,
Cant have you being the only crazy one here! Have been jumping for over 25 years! We need to do some freestyle sometime... Am 48 and having more fun than I thought was legal! Joe |
Well, RATS! I thought I was going to be king of the hill since I am four months older than pwd72s - yep, my dob is 7-8-43 - - (58) - - -
But it appears jorgeman takes top honors! Congratulations!! :D - So! What year did you buy your first P-car??? In 1965, I sold my 55 VW bug, (with small oval rear window and swing out turn signals) and bought a 1959 356 Normal notch back (hardtop style) coupe - in Fort Collins, Colo. Still in college at the time. - Chuck |
