I must say I think it's kinda' mean of you guys to continue beating this thread--making me face up to the fact my 78th is impending!! Being older than Porsche, mud, AND the rest of you on this board only gives me pleasure when I pause to look back to my first model "A" Ford Convertible, my black 67 911S, numerous motorcycles, the Piper Cherokee I soloed in and 58 yrs. with the same wonderful gal that patiently stood by while I did all my playing!! Now ENOUGH already! Let's get back to "up fixin" der Porsches!

Congrats Jorgeman, I am only 30 yrs behind you. I can see the same senerio unfolding here. 27 years with the same gal, through numerous wheeled habits. But she is as bad as I am. She was badass in her younger days on her YZ100, Shadow 500 and 75 Corvette. Hoping for 30 more with her.

Welcome TJ. That about covers it. From 15 to 78. It's hard to think my SC is 4 years older than you. My Strat is even older than you. Oh man, I'm gettin' old.

Damn TJMCarguy!! I've got some steaks in the freezer older than you!...and a gallon of Jack Daniels stashed away that's TWICE your age! Come to think of it, I oughta' crack that baby soon or it's going to outlive me!
You're starting at just the right age--I hope Dad is letting you in on the upkeep end of the enjoy-
ment of the marque! Hang tough and get out the Bentley's--there's going to be a test!!!

By the way...My family would not own the Porsche we own without me. I am the Porsche fanatic in the family, and talked my dad into buying it so we could restore it. I've done a lot of the work myself, and what I don't know what to do, my dad has shown me.

P.S. Jorgeman: Enjoy your moldy and wormy steaks from that thousand year old cow.

TJM,
Just realize that you now have a pretty big responsibility on your shoulders.
Don't be like I was;.... put a cherry bomb muffler on a nice little BMW 2002....because I wanted it to be louder.

Do not do anything silly to that pretty Porsche.

If your dad says it's tacky... even if you can't see it...."IT IS".

Looks like a cool car.
Take care of it!

Here's my wife & me. She's 27, I just turned 30. I had my mid life crisis at 25 and bought my car before I met her. I hope that doesn't mean I'll only live to 50. Or worse, I'll have my real mid life crisis at 40. I don't think I can afford another one of those! Actually, now that I think of it, I am looking for a 356 to go with the 911. Augh! What's happening to me?

32, with a recently acquired 1978 SC that is my 14th car in as many years of driving. Best of the lot so far: Citroen 2CV (also with a horizontally opposed engine BTW - only two cylinders though), Citroen CX turbodiesel (am still hanging on to it). Have a feeling that the 911 may be with me to stay!

I was born the same month and year as the Porsche 6 cyl. Boxer engine and 10 days before.

That makes me 37, turning 38 on November 1.

Bought my first 911 in 1968 [before most of you guys were born!].

Very happy with my '89 Carrera - still trying to work out how to get it out of 2nd ....
