Ok The Doc was good enough to try the lidocaine route. After an hour and a half I can safely say that there has been a moderate relief from the pain. I was also lucky enough to have him write a script for imitrex nasal spray. I'll let you know later after I get the script filled how that worked.
Thanks Again Doc for the treatment. I do appreciate it.

Kevin,
You may want to try Treximet. It is a combination of Imitrex(sumatriptan) and naproxen sodium. Ask your doctor about it.
