I'm bumping this to get some advice on a temporary fix until surgery in late August.

I'm in production right now, screen printing apparently puts a lot of pressure on the left side of my groin and it's definitely painful. I'm just at the beginning with 2 solid weeks of work to get done.

When I press it back in, it feels better.

Can I tape a balled up sock or rubber ball over the hernia to keep it pushed in?

There are things that you can buy that do just that. It's a strap type of deal that hooks to a band at you belt line. I have used the ol' duct tape method before surgery. Just wrap yourself up over a pair of jockey shorts. You don't want to do that over bare skin!

Just Google Hernia Support or Truss.

Thank you Milt, that's exactly what I need.

Reviews on these things are all over the place!
