Silver bullets?

Hand loaders and metallurgists, how much would it be to get some .45ACP silver bullets made up? With all this talk of zombies and vampires I was thinking it couldn't hurt to have some on hand.

Would lead jacketed in silver do the job? Or does it need to be 100% silver?

u'd want to maximize the silver content. cause werewolves are supposed to be anaphylaxic reaction to silver. u'd want to have the silver impact and then dissolve into their bloodstream for maximum effect. frangible silver would be ideal. although i think a silver inside hollowpoint cup would be good too.

i remember reading that silver compounds also work in addition to metallic silver...so silver suspended in some kind of liquid or capsule form might be great too if it could survive the bullet acceleration

You'd have to crank you're melting pot up a bit, silver melts at 1760F to lead's 690. Sterling is a bit lower. Scrap sterling should be about 40 cents/gram.

What if the info is wrong?
What if it was written by werewolves, and silver makes them stronger?

I think a weapon that fires saw blades or twirling machetes and removes the head would be a safer choice.

For when you absolutely, positively want to kill everything in close range:

For long range, just use that nifty 20mm sniper rifle someone posted...

i think you would be better off if you made silver 00 buck shot.
the hardness of the silver would destroy the rifling in the barrel

The flame thrower is nice, but not much use as a home defense weapon...
