It is funny and often so true. On the flip side, when I resumed DE's after a 3-4 year hiatus from w2w racing and as a BMWCCA/PCA instrucrtor, I visited some new regions/clubs which required I do a few sessions with instructors as a refresher/precaution. I didn't have a problem with it. While I certainly ain't Aryton and I check my ego at the gate particularly for a DE, there are a few instructors that are clueless...even had one that did not understand what H&T was. And some who are very arrogant for no apparent reason. Had one that was suggesting some goofy lines/advice at a track thast I had previously held the track record for a time in my then racing class. I listened politely and was able to discuss it with tact.
Thankfully an exception rather than a rule.
