Personal add-on. Makes it different that all the other Jeeps out there, plus the long wheelbase TJ is sort of the spiritual descendent of the CJ-8.

This has always been the problem with the Wrangler. That and the poor gas mileage. I have had a series of Wranglers and while I love playing around with them, they just are not practical if there are more than 2 people in your family.

That's why I bought the Unlimited. Decent trunk space and an actual tow rating!

I really don't like the plastic front ends on the new Wranglers.

I've been playing with the idea of getting a Jeep since driving around Freeport in one...

Mine is a Wrangler 2002. And personally, Jeep made a big mistake with the new 4 doors or the "x" series.. It is not a jeep anymore too much electronics and plastics.

this is mine when I bought it in 2002

And this year after a did few modz ( i'm doing rock crawling)

Actually your Jeep doesn't resemble anything CJ-8. The LJ (your vehicles designation) is the modern CJ-6. The CJ-8 had overhang whereas the CJ-6 was longer behind the front seats like the LJ. I'm partial to MJ's

It's a regular Wrangler with a few stupid stickers. Ultra gay. If you're going to try to make a bad ass Jeep, make a bad ass Jeep. Take a Rubicon and add some ARB bumpers, a winch, a snorkel, hi-lift rack, lights, and make it flat freaking black. There's a flat black Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited in Wichita with a black hard top, black wheels, tinted windows, and a bunch of off road goodies. It looks absolutely bad ass, totally ready for zombie killing.

Seriously, how mean does this "Black Ops Edition" Jeep look?

Had a buddy with one of those Scramblers, almost like a pickup with a really short bed, was pretty awesome though, like a Wrangler that you could actually put something in.

Yeah, yeah. The CJ-6 didn't have a cool name like the Scrambler though...

PS: I had an MJ, 1988 Comanche Pioneer. Neat truck, but not a real Jeep.

To set the record straight I totally agree with everything you said here. I think it's (COD Jeep) ridiculous! I just see the COD ads all the time yet I've never seen one on the road, hence my question. I also think it's stupid to buy a vehicle based on a movie, TV show, video game, etc. Kinda like the Camaro Bumblebee edition.

The '98 about to be sold, next to the '05 Rubicon before lift, wheels & Tires, yada yada. No pictures of the Rubi in it's current form.

I just bought a 11 wrangler Unlimited X. Already put 33 BFG KM2 on it. The rock sliders and winch bumper came in on Thurs. Get those on with a winch and will see how high I can lift it and still fit in the garage. I love it so far.

My friend bought one of those Call of Duty ones a few weeks later. He liked the wheels and the options that came on it. Had the dealer pull the stickers before he too k it home. It is a nice look. He is already planing the lift and such. He had a 06 Rubicon that was builgt pretty well.
