I'm ashamed to say a liquid dinner tonight. Girlfriend is away for a week and I just can't be bothered cooking or going out.

i am EFFEN loving my WOK!!!
i think i have homed in on how to handle the stir fry. i used my stove-top to cook maybe three things since i got the setup for my backyard. not counting hardboiled eggs and ramen :) i rediscovered the humble noodle! last night, i cleared out some of my hold outs in my veggie drawer. that red meat was one single Chinese sausage. BOOM! noodle stirfry. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1527086520.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1527086520.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1527086520.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1527086520.JPG |

Hey GWN if you put that sammich on one of those press machines it’ll be even better!

Are you talking about adding heat...so the cheese is melted and integrated into the other ingredients? Is that the main benefit? |

Warm? Toasted bread has texture. Love crunch with soft cheese. Opposing textures. And warm technically makes flavor more amped up. Ever tasted a warm soda? It is overwhelmingly sweet. Just like warm melted ice cream. But I would love that sandwich as is. I’d eat that one cold. |

Shortly after eating my first Cuban sandwich, I purchased a sandwich press. I still have it to this day, and aside from Cuban sandwiches it makes a hell of a grilled cheese. |
Use a cast iron on the dry side and put something heavy on top like a pyrex bowl.
No pretty sear marks but it should do the same. |
Thanks....now you guys have me looking at sammich makers on Amazon.....

What do you guys think about meat tenderizers? Seems like a good way to help get spices and seasonings permeated into the meat. $17.98 from Amazon for this model: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....3L._SX425_.jpg What about these kinds: https://images.samsclubresources.com..._size_380x380$ https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....VL._SY355_.jpg https://images.prod.meredith.com/pro...ee-1-oz-packet |
