Actually, it's called a "peel."

Thank you, Patrick. Now that you said that - it rings a bell, but appreciate the clarification.

I enjoy learning the proper terms for things.

An example that comes to mind is whenever I am discussing Bamboo with any of my clients, I let them know that the proper agronomic term for the shoots that emerge from the ground are 'culms' and that they are actually arising from below ground stems, known as 'rhizomes'.

Of course, while they seem interested - I doubt any of them commit any of that to memory...lol.

At least they had a few minutes of enlightenment.

BTW....I just ate my dumplings - yum!

The Moo Goo Gai Pan was gone last night along with 2 egg rolls.

Later today/tonight I will have some Won Ton soup. :p

Baz, I want to compliment you on your tasty array of plastic containers. :D

Surf & Turf. Lobster steamed and finished in butter in a butter griddled bun and smoked brisket, made last week for a party, with spinach, red onion and horseradish sour cream on Wonder bread. Summer dinner doesn't get any better with a Bombay Sapphire gin & tonic.

Fantastic as always, Shaun. That brisket - wow......:p

Shaun @ Tru6 07-10-2019 04:26 PM

Thanks Baz! I've got to say, the brisket was even better than the lobster.

Shaun -

You're very welcome.

FWIW, I've never been a big fan of Lobster myself.

Crab? I can't get enough! :)

Shaun @ Tru6 07-10-2019 04:44 PM

I LOVE lobster! But I will take snow crab over lobster any day, maybe blue crab too. Stone crab claws are a tie.
