It's a good thing there was visual because he said to depress the clutch and the accelerator @ 1:10.

What makes you assume 944 owners don't know how to drive stick? Hell I'd bet more 944s came with sticks than those candy assed mustangs....

Lighten up, Sidney...the thread starting post was a joke...that accomplished it's purpose. Still, isn't a Bullitt Mustang stock exhaust sounding cool? ![]()

I find the "tradition" card being played by a kid still in his teens amusing....
Still, The past was then, and this is today...

I wouldn't call the current Mustang GT's performance against the E90 M3 an ass woopin'. But the Mustang is certainly a helluvalot a' bang for the buck. But I'll take the sound of 8400 rpm trough 8 ITB's among other things any day.

Why? Because he has an appreciation for history? If he didn't, you'd call him on that instead.

You give me that GT and a few grand for track tires and wheels and that M3 would be lookin' at Rustang tail lights all day long. I could take the rest of the dough I saved on not buying a BMW and go buy a well set up 944, just to piss Paul off.

Properly sorted? Probably 5-6k.... If I had to sell mine I might get 6-6.5k out of it... But I have tickets for about 3500 of work this year alone... Fresh paint in '08, etc, etc....

I was in a 997 GT3 once as a passenger at Road America chasing a 2001 Mustang Cobra R. We simply could not pass the Mustang. I know nothing about how far from stock the Mustang was but the GT3 was bone stock.

Damn...you forgot to mention how much faster. Is there a reason for that?
