I gotta go see it. I missed the cast and crew screening because I was in Vancouver.

I saw it in IMAX 3D today. My first ever 3D film believe it or not.

Totally worth the 3D. The sound is amazing too (I went to the Rave 14 at the Howard Hughes Center). There are definitely a few parts the get your blood racing. I flipped lid when the first lightcycle fired up.

I also though the movie had a really nice ending as well.

I wanna go see it! 3D might be worth a drive to OKC, just have to find someone to go with.

And Daft Punk FTW!

I took my wife Monday. I saw the original, she didn't. I thought it was OK, my wife liked it. I also thought it was pretty predictable. The original was awesome.

Dissapointing, not much story and who in their right mind thinks the CGI Bridges is the real one?

It's a B at best

A little better than the original.

Saving Factors:
3D
Olivia Wilde*
Cool FX with the vehicles

Saw it today with someone who hadnt seen the first one. BIG difference of opinions. I loved it, he thought it was just OK. Things like when he snuck in the back big red door and said "thats a really big door", were the exact same things his father said in the first one, and my friend had no clue who Bradley was or that he was Tron's user, and several, several other references to the first movie. I guess I found it to be so good because it was a continuation of the first one. I can easliy see if you didnt see the first one how you wouldnt think it to be as good.

I watched the first one again a few days ago, so it was fresh in my mind..

I saw that door and immediately remembered it. When he said "Now that is a big door" I laughed.. no one else did. Perfect lineage from the original.

The light ship was also a great update from the original. Everything was recognizable.. but so different at the same time- just like modern technology has transformed computers since the 80's.

I saw it today with my son who's 5. I enjoyed it but wish i'd seen the original since 1982. My son enjoyed it, I don't know how much he understood of it though. I thought it required a little too much knowledge of the original to advance the story. 3D and music was great!

I wish I knew Disney's reasoning for keeping the original off of Netflix, Amazon, etc.

My wife said they will probably release both in a set in a couple of months. She's probably right, but I might go back to the theater and i'd like to see the original first on my big tv. I did find some clips of the light cycles on youtube. Its cool for 1982.....like the Dire Straits video.

Something to think about - the movie is rated PG. There isn't a single big curseword, no realistic violence, no sexual innuendos, not even a kissing scene in the entire film.

When was the last time a big blockbuster was anything like that?

(Not that I didn't leave the theatre wanting to do horrible, dirty things to Olivia Wilde.)

As a dad with a 5 year old it was actually nice. There was a "dammit" I think.

Thought they did show a preview for Cowboys vs Aliens...WTF? Even the Pirates of the Caribbean promo had some innuendo.

Saw it tonight.

First let me tell you all that it takes something with real potential to get me to enter a movie theater, so I was really anticipating a good movie.

I was not disappointed on any level.

Just like the original in 1982 with it's cutting edge computer graphics, this is too.
This movie has set the bar for effects.
Truly amazing.

The story was very enjoyable and I was thoroughly entertained.

Saw it in 3D, which only added to it!

I only buy a handful of movies. This will be in my collection.

Like others have said, watch the original first.
