I was thinking of filling it with R134 and using an electronic leak detector but it is hard to get fittings that will allow that.

Had the same problem on the wifes RX 8. Took it to the dealer twice & they couldn't find a leak. I finally found it. The screw in valve stem was loose.

Tightened it up & solved the problem.

One other note of caution: Just make sure the wife isn't home when you try this method.

Personally, I'd opt for the kiddie pool or soapy water in a spray bottle options.

I have had a few slow leaks that were very difficult to find. On my last one, it took about 4-5 minutes after the tire was submerged before the leak was visible and even then it was a very small stream of bubbles.

While I know some of you have issues with Les, the two near my house seem to be on the ball and have yet to let me down. It was one of them that found the slow leak by being patient and looking closely.
