Hahaha ......the good old days! I ask myself the same question on a regular basis. Now, I've learned that the faster I drive, the slower the time passes hence the aging process is actually slowed ........riiiiiight.

Ahh the good old days!

An old friend has been icing down his parking lot down for the last couple years and a couple times a year we get together to "race" each other on old Honda ATC's. I have an old 125 and he has 2 185s and a 110. We chase each other around for ten minutes then head into his heated shop for a drink and BS session, then head out back out again for some ridiculously fun bar banging fun. I never would have guessed that I would be having fun again at 40+ on an old Honda ATC like I owned as a kid in the late 70's early 80's.

They made those three-wheelers illegal. My dad worked for a power company, and he came home one day and told us that they wouldn't be able to use those things to patrol the coal piles anymore. Too many accidents, it seems.

-Good lord I cannot believe how fast the past 30 years have gone by! I remember 31 years ago last night; my cousins were at my parents house, the adults went out to dinner, and 5 kids [ranging between 16 and 9; me 14] were at home alone. We destroyed a popcorn maker, since we let it run when we all went over to the old lady next door: she made cookies and we lost track of time. I can remember every event and conversation that night like it was yesterday. And I can definitely still remember the smell of burnt popcorn that permeated my parents' house!

Sucks getting old, but I'm still having fun.

N!

Once you finish school, the number of new experiences reduce dramatically and the human brain tosses the repetitive data of your daily grind, leading to the impression of time passing quickly.

Or was that rhetorical?

Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer to the end you get, the faster it goes.

I read an article years ago about how we perceive time. From the time we were in grade school where a year seemed to take forever to pass before summer holidays, to now where it goes by so darn quick that the years are starting to blend together...
The article stated that we are middle age when we are about 22 years old based on the way we perceive time. I believe it.
Great pictures by the way. I remember a friend of mine blowing his knee out on one of those!

Any links to facts to back up your typical BS statement? no, I didn't think so.

three wheeled ATC's were voluntarily recalled by the manufacturers due to pending lawsuits and due to the fact that were made obsolete by more stable 4 wheelers and the they couldn't give the three wheelers away, but they WERE NOT made illegal.
In fact, there are people who still ride them.
Of course, they are INTELLIGENT people who know not to ride too fast, and not to put down their foot to keep from falling over on three-wheeler.

Sammy,

You might want to check this out:

The ATV Of Our Time, A Much More Versatile Machine? | Content for Reprint

"The consent decrees ended in 1997, allowing manufacturers to once again, make and market 3-wheel models, though these models are rarely marketed or seen today. Recently the Consumer Product Safety Commission has succeeded in finally banning three wheeled ATV's with attachments to the Congressional bill HR4040."

Time does indeed fly. 30 year ago, I was driving too fast on two wheels.

Red face I remember

I think that Honda 3 wheeler was a "Big Red" 350..........we had one at My Grandfathers ranch, he was a rice farmer. The main thing I remember was that you didn't put your feet down because those back wheels would eat them up.

You're not hallucinating Scott. I was quite proud of my little catapillar back then. Clean shavin now.
I know I look like a homeless person here. Its actually summer time in the central valley of California working in a cold storage plant. Inside its 33 degrees. Outside its over 100 degrees. We used to horse around at every oppertunity when not loading or unloading trucks.

One of the best things of looking back is all the things that you have to look forward to in the future. I know you are going through some tough times right now, but it will get better.
Another great memory for me concerning three wheelers AND my future wife... Fast forward about five years from the above pics.... My soon to be wife had never been on a three wheeler. We were at a friend of mines house. He still had one. A Honda 250R that was stroked to a 370 kit if I remember correctly.
Wife says "Hey, will you take me for a ride on that?" Me. "Ahh sure honey. One rule! Don't EVER....EVER take your feet off the pegs....NO MATTER WHAT!" I took her on the ride of her life....Straight down (30') into the river bed of the Kings River and straight up back the other side and then around our regular track (at speed). :O
Long story short.... My ribs were severely bruised for weeks (her hanging on) and my hearing was somewhat impaired (her screaming in my ear) after that ride.
I knew she was the girl for me. She never took her feet off the pegs.

Time does fly by.

This is me in high school. I was already well on my way to a photography career. The school did not have ANY photography equipment but I was already working (part time) as a professional. The day after graduation I went full time.
