Slodave - I've never met either of you but I certainly appreciate yours and Milt's posts. Please call him and let us know he's well, yes?

Been a while for him. He was a nutcase!

It's funny, Z is far more tolerant these days of the personal attacks (maybe the separate PARF area allows it). In 2005, Normy would have be gone a long time ago for what he posts.

I left a message on his cell phone. It went straight to VM.

If he does not show up here first, I will definitely post back here as soon as I hear from him.

I'm sure Milt's just taking a vacation from Pelican like he's done before. I sure miss his posts. But I'm 100% sure he's fine.

PWD72 seemed like he was going out in a blaze of (glory?) with that last post of his.

I used to appreciate some of his posts, but the constant Sid bashing got really old.

I hope Milt's OK. I'm sure I speak for many when I say I mostly like his posts.

I think the clinical term is 'attention whoring'.

Seriously though did Paul leave? Why, did he finally sell that '72 911 of his?

Hope he's ok, at least he has good stuff to say almost all of the time. I think you're way off base with the attention thing.
Paul always has been like that since he joined Pelican. I've managed to bite my tongue for nearly a decade now. Nice car, now sold, Have fun with the 'Stang.

Milt is a good guy.

But I think like a lot of the "senior crowd" (55+) they sometimes struggle with their innernets machines.

Sometimes it is really funny. Like in PARF, there's an older guy who tries his best to imitate dipso, pretty much trying to copy his style and substance verbatim. But where dipso can pull it off with aplomb and a deft touch (love him or hate him, his interwebs skilz cannot be denied), the "old man imitation dipso" - despite trying his heart out - just comes across as shrill, angry, humorless and boring.

Milt isn't like that at all, I think he's kind of the opposite - he's probably *too* forthright and too much of a good guy for modern internet play. Most "off topic" boards are not really a place for old school gentlemen like him anymore (although I hope he keeps posting).

Thought that he mentioned doing this a while back? Might have gotten to 23k then decided that he had enough...

Heard from Sniper several times over the holidays, he is alive and well.

Wasn't there a black and white monster movie with that name? Googled it and nothing like that came up...

And yes milt is one of the good guys.

I guess that I fit into the category mentioned above. It has been a learning experience for me to join in this , my first forum adventure. Both in computer skills, The first pics I ever downloaded and emailed were sent here. Also in the manor of exchange here. Most are very friendly and helpful Like Milts, who I hope decides to come back to share his knowledge and insight with us. Some here chose to vent on a regular basis with a tone that I find a bit abrasive and uncomfortable. So I am learning to tune those out or just skip their posts.
In total this forum is enjoyable and very helpful for me, thanks to all.

And Milt. folks do find themselves moving on to new interests in their lives. Thanks so much for all you have shared with us here. Sure would like to see you back with us.

Cheers Richard

Tomorrow I will be 75, and I don't "struggle with my innernets machines".

Best,
Tom
