Had two girlfriends at the same time (hey, it was the 60s) We went to see the movie Grand Prix when I got the car, pulled in the theatre parking lot and parked right up at the front where the line of people were waiting to enter the theatre. Everyone was checking out the car (911s were pretty rare in 66) and then everyone was checking out my gf's (total babes). Biggest ego rush ever.
On the way home got a speeding ticket. Thought I was James Garner!

Actually she was...5'-1" But all 3 of us were in the front. Shorty was sitting in the middle. I had fun shifting gears!

I was riding my bike. Swimming in the river at the Tarzan Swing. Playing Little League baseball. Having "phosphate" sodas at the drug store.

Just graduated from HS, sweet summer to get ready for college.

Spent 2 yrs at college and wanted out, 2 months after last class got my induction letter.

Went to the induction center with 100 guys, passed written and physical but got a 1Y at the last station. 1Y is a we will only take you if war is on our ground in the next yr after which you will get a 4F. I had too many broken bones, most notable was a fractured skull at age 13 in a car accident.

I was one of 4 who left that induction center without boarding that bus outside, two months later I moved to Vail, CO to pursue my ski racing career
