I like it all other than the lighting, the lenses just seem a little too modern for the classic shape.

Beautiful--too expensive for me though. I like the really clean engine compartment with all the electronics and such hidden.

I understand what you're saying but in many ways this car makes more sense than the current 997.
And I bet it holds it value better.

A 997 is about $230,000 here.

If you haven't already, watch the Adam Carolla "Carcast" video that exists earlier in this thread. It's about 20 minutes of going through the car. I think it might be the ultimate 911. It's amazing.

Nice paint, and I admire the craftsmanship, but the finished product doesn't interest me in the least.

I can't even compute that. Really? What's your issue with it? Not a longhood fan?

Did they ever make more than one?? As I recall, when Excellence drove this one the suspension wasn't sorted and it had a few other issues. But they loved the details and workmanship an overall concept as much as all of us (most of us anyway) do.

I'd love to know if they ever made growing concern out of this but haven't seen anything yet.

I wouldn't say it doesn't interest me in the least, but the price is for Saudi princes. I figured the market for the Singer was Hong Kong or Middle East; maybe a couple here stateside.

The thing is, a lot of this work can be thought up and duplicated. I was working on some similar tweaks unbeknownst of the Singer project and one in particular was damn close to their ideas. I even called and asked it they would be interested in having me sit in on some design sessions.

Well, stick your neck out in the Porsche world and you will be served humble pie. So, now we'll see how far the Singer project goes. 911 people are very critical about mods. This ain't no RUF.

You've heard all the comments about Gemballa.

He must want impact bumpers and a Targa bar to clean up the car's lines.

a 997 MSRP; $99,911 US

at 2x the cost, does the Singer have a PDK gearbox, or active (PASM) suspension?

...I mean, have some perspective here.

No screws at the bottom. Cool.

I could land that car here for about the same price as a local 997 so my perspective is very different to yours. (Aussie dollar is very strong right now)

$203,000 Car price + shipping
$20,300 GST
$2000 to $3,000 Various import duties and taxes.
Total price before on road costs... $225,300

PDK Gear box... Yea it's nice but more to go wrong down that track. (I've driven one)
PASM... That's for people who can't drive a high performance car without getting into trouble.

It really depends on how you want to burn money. What will a 997 be worth in 5 years time?
I absolutely guarantee you the Singer will be worth more.

Meanwhile it has everything I want in a car and nothing I don't.

No screws anywhere. They must be secured from the back.
