Just how quick is the Boss 302 Mustang?

Here's a Laguna Seca model with drag radials bolted on..otherwise 100% stock.

All this, and handles twisties well too...able to lap Laguna Seca faster than a BMW M3...

Video: Stock 2012 Mustang Boss 302 runs 11.7 @ 117 mph | Mustangs Daily

Tim...Damn! Sorry I left you out of the comparison. Probably because Boss 302 owners in the know are are frightened of well set up 944 cars.

Gotta admit, not that long ago, 11.7 was supercar quarter mile times...whoever was driving in that video knew his way down the strip...an experienced drag racer.

For those who think drag racing doesn't take it's own skill set to be good at? Go to a strip, line up against an inferior car driven by a guy who is there every weekend.

The Bullitt? With my dimished skills? Probably about the same as my old Goat. The fastest stock Bullitt at the recent Bullitt nationals turned a 13.2...that on original street tires. The average was in the 13.5 range...so I added a couple of tenths to that...Maybe I should say in the 14 range to be safe..

So, care to post your time slips?

Was that the dealer sticker on the passenger window? That would be one funny test drive to the drag strip, then return the car to the dealer after you are done.

Good eye for details...I didn't notice that. Sure does look like the sticker...right where they are placed on Mustangs, and the right coloring. Well, a trip or two down the track wouldn't add a lot of miles, right?

I dunno Paul. I'm not sure I'm as quick at my keyboard as you and your Mustang. I was also too slow racing around the cans at the yacht club bar.

Again with the moostangs?

You have to realize that you are nearly alone here in your admiration of these cars,
so I have to wonder if you are trying to convince us they are cool or trying to convince yourself they are cool.

If you were confident that they were cool you'd sit back and enjoy it without having to constantly try to sell them to everyone else.

I figure you're searching for a bit of confirmation, either that or you're just trolling to kick up some dirt.
That seems to be already happening, every time you do the moostang post thing (daily) you get plenty of backlash, is that what you're after?

I've done it, allot. For many years I did it. In cars that could carry the front tires.
It's not much more than motorized bowling until you get above about 750 hp.

Now climbing into a blown gas flatbottom and lighting the fuse, that's a different story .....

(daily)??????

Better do a search, see how many days it's been since I last started a mustang thread. Hey, at least my hobby isn't "jihad"...and I don't make threads about hating sniper, and other inane topics being used here.

Paul, why do you post so much Mustang content on a Porsche themed forum? I suppose that maybe I could give a rat's a$$ as to why, if it proved my theories wrong.

I like Mustangs, and enjoy Paul's posts (even though I have a couple 944s). I'm a car guy, not a Porsche snob.

This 302 makes Paul's Bullitt look like a Honda Civic.
