I'm the counter guy and the boss. You've seen my point about price tags, the typical person will look at the tag and walk away. You've figured out their system.
btw, I've just returned from ten days riding in the Alps with a guy from Charleston, a very interesting fellow.

Interesting point about the price tags - I haven't walked into a lot of places like that before. They always have the "original" price marked through and then write "SALE!!!" with a price about $20 under that. I guess a few people come in and offer whatever is on the price tag but I don't know any.

What's different over here, or that I haven't noticed before is that they'll put a few good items on Craigslist every day. Either new stuff or something that's more interesting than the run of the mill cordless drills, DVDs and whatever. I guess it helps bring people in the door.

A buddy of mine has a shop in my town. You can find some disgustingly good deals there. The place is as busy as any of the local super markets. he has a great turn-around on the stuff he gets.
