For those of you that don’t know, Coquitlam Fire Rescue's own Lieutenant Stu Aspinall wrote a song a couple of years ago after reading a newspaper article about a young Canadian Soldier.

Cpl Stuart Langridge, was a model soldier who served as a Tank Gunner with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a veteran of both Afghanistan and Bosnia.

Unfortunately, when he returned home, he suffered badly from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). After battling with the disorder, and numerous attempts of suicide, Stuart finally gave in to the disorder and took his own life in 2008. His story inspired Stu Aspinall to write the song

Stu is a neighbour & friend of mine. He recently had this song & video produced. It is heartfelt poignant reminder to us all, the high cost our brothers & sisters in our armed forces & their families sometimes pay to enable us to enjoy our way of life.
