This page is like porn to me (don't worry, it's safe for work). What an amazing machine!

WOW! That sounds similar to an old Ferrari flat-12 F1 engine! If today's bikes sounded like that, there would be more spectators!

I'm on a business trip, at my hotel, bored, visiting my favorite site, see a thread about a Honda... And I think to myself, gee, how amazing can a Honda be? Now I know. Very cool!

Very cool

I always loved the sound of Ago's MV Agustas too. Giacomo Agostini on MV Agusta TT 2007 - YouTube

Fantastic!! Are there still examples of that thing around? How much would one be worth?

Thanks for the music...

Yes, a few examples still exist. I'm not sure of the value but it's a bunch. Six figures.

There's a shop in LA called the Garage Company and the owner has a set of the carbs from one of these bikes on display. They're made of magnesium and they are the smallest carbs you'll ever see.

Sweet Mother of Pearl! The engine pics looks like a scale model. Too cool.

Gorgeous. A question, though. Was the bike built for small riders? Or is the rider really big?

The rider on the bike, in the video, looks like a circus bear on tricycle.

Seems that you'd at least design the fairing to cover most of the rider's frontal area, rather than have his knees sticking out like wind brakes.

This is not meant to be racist, but could it have been built for smaller frame Japanese riders?

Motorcycle riders all seem to be like F1 drivers. Jockey-sized. Not just tha Japanese. Guys like Max Biaggi are very thin as well (though they are still able to muscle those big MotoGP and World Superbikes around with grace and force).

When I've been to the track with my bike, which is not often, I'm a noob at it, we were taught to get get more upright coming in to a turn, stick the knee out, etc. The instructor mentioned that getting our bodies up and knee on the turn in side was a form of air braking.

Honda got into the highest forms of racing in the '60's. They had dabbled in various lower formulas for a while and decided to step their game up a notch. Early Honda GP bikes were ridden by Japanese riders, who are smaller than average. However, the RC166 was raced in 1966 by a Brit, Mike Hailwood. It won all 10 races, and the championship.

Having said that, all 250's are small, even the modern ones. An average-sized guy looks too big for one of them. Some of the GP guys are normal sized, a few are 6 foot, or close. They spend some time in the wind tunnels working on their riding position.
