Hughes, good for you. If it runs or could run, I'd drive it to the wine and cheese crowd events.

does wine and cheese go with vegetable oil?
if so, jim or zeke sound interested! (P.S. how often do you have to reapply the vegetable oil? Does corn oil work as well?) |

Not that it could be driven, with that engine just bolted in for pictures. I'm with you, though, and give you lots of credit. If you can turn that shell into a $15K+ sale using nothing but some really bad cliches and a $2 bottle of vegetable oil, I say awesome! Last edited by McLovin; 10-12-2011 at 01:55 PM.. |

"The guy or gal who drives this must have moxy.........probably has a mind of their own and doesn't own golf clubs or have a gym membership."
Good grief. But again, I appreciate your "moxy" for being willing to put up an ad like that. Good luck with it, I think it's going to work and you'll land one! |

Hey, I've got a good idea:
Let's source a $60,000 4 cam motor for it!! It'll fit right in there.......

Yeah, I like it as yard art, and I would make it run on the road, but I would have to bring back the ride height...

I worked on one almost that rough. It was an A. By the time I got the front pushed out and the hood to close, it fetched 8K running on a rebuilt motor. Not the original.
The rear bulkhead was a screen door and the owner decided to cut his losses. He paid 5K for it, so he made a dime. The motor guy was a friend and I was a friend, so we worked cheap. |

Reminds me of early 356 Registry events. I need to dig out my photos. I have a shot of Jerry Keyser sitting against the bumper of my coupe drinking wine out of a paper bag. I think it was at an East Coast Holiday about 25 years ago.
