3-4 weeks wait? I walked into the local Apple store and walked out 15 minutes later with a new 4S. ( with no prior appt )

I tried this at two Apple stores in Portland, OR last week and had to wait in line just to be told it would be a few days wait if I ordered online in advance, no same-day orders and pick-ups. That was for an unlocked phone to give to my in-laws. Otherwise, I'm just stating what Verizon's website said when we tried to order there.

I went into a sprint store and got one. I like it, the camera on it is fantastic!

Same here. Walked into a sprint store and walked right out with a new 4S today. The Sprint web site says 2-3 weeks before shipping but they had them all in stock. They took all of my $$ but otherwise no problemo.

Jailbreak for 4S and iPad 2 has been released.

Works great on my 4S.

The user friendly version for Windows is not ready yet but you can use a cmd based version.

For Mac's it is about as complicated as clicking a mouse.
