I see what you guys are saying, but I can't remember the last time I saw a running driving 914 or a 928 for 500 bones. The 928 would be awesome if stripped. It's just going to take some time to compile values. I'm stoked to see the 911 running though. Excuse me I while I go and hawk the samba.

Given the flexibility of modern engines, I'm seriously considering a 914 with a subaru engine conversion. 914s are odd - if they are in nice shape, they are worth a bit, if in a bit of disrepair, they are cheaper than dirt. some of the lower powered subi engines are just as cheap. I'm thinking you could end up with a good engine in a great chassis and be somewhat competitive.

I have a subi motor that needs head work, and that's what I planned on for the 914. You regularly see 1.7 and 1.8 914's for around 1k, but to find a running driver for less than $600 is a real task. The 2l would be a great race car but find one of those for less than $ 500 running.

I've run in 8 LeMons races.

Really fun.

No way that car is $500. Way too nice.

They'd crush it.
