It's always fun to see smart kids put it to the more athletic but intellectually challenged.

The only tough team Stanford played this year. USC was great.

I think it was a great game by both teams, could have gone either way.
A little north/south thing

I misseed the game. So I have 2 questions.
1, why did Stanford go for a 2-pt conversion in the 3rd OT? If they don't make it, they only have a 6 point lead. 2, I read that Stanford sealed the win by recovering a fumble in the end zone. Why was that not a TD?

In the third ot there is no more field goal kicking, you have to do a two point conversion.
I watched Lou Holtz, after his ND got beat so bad by USC last week he almost cried, and last night all he could say about the game was how good Luck was. Here is USC, mostly freshmen, not given any credit this year and kicking but on his favorite team, then the only team this year to make Stanford work, plus the only team this year to get ahead of them. USC was great. |

2) It wasn't a TD because it was in the wrong end zone. In regulation play, it would have been a touch back, Standford ball at the 20. OT games in college begin with each team starting possession at the 25 yard line. 1 OT is 2 possessions, one for each team. After 2 OT's, you have to go for two. South California fumbled into the end zone on their try in the 3rd OT. Stanford recovered and the game was over.
USC did not and will not play ND this year, but I agree USC was great in their win over Tennessee. 7-1 on the year.

Just pointing out that USC resides in South Carolina. Always has, always will. The first and only. Not a fan of the game ****s, but they are better than south california.
