i went to disney when i was little. fun memories. also, in the course of my childhood, i visited every state (by automobile). also fun memories. when i was older, i started flying around the world to visit places. fun memories. taking a little one to legoland (or disney) will be an experience they wont forget....along with all of the other other places you can take them, too.

don't omit places like disney or legoland simply because "there are better places."

For the money, insanely overpriced just like Disney. $65- $85 each admission, and you still have hotel and food on top of that?

I'd take my kid to learn about the world and different cultures, people, history, foods, locations.

Take the kid to Mexico, or Belize, Central America somewhere to make the kids appreciate what they have at home. Even Hawaii, or somewhere to show them that the world isn't a sanitized Lego/Disney land place and to get out and learn and see the real world that isn't microwave processed cruise ship fakeness.............

GASP, radical new work policy was just put in place at Disneyland..........employees there (as long as they're not in direct contact with customers) are now allowed to wear beards.

guess I want to show youngsters the real world, not a pre-processed fake and bake microwave hot-pocket buritto version of it.

Your kids may actually learn something and take away life lessons. gasp.

just my humbe opinion, your milage may vary
I appreciate your message and agree 100%...though I will never consider taking my kids to MEX. I can think of a 100 better places to make them worldly.

My kids loved the one in Denmark. Haven't been to the one down the road in Carlsbad but I've heard good things.
