Yep, Happy Thanksgiving to all you Pelicans. I've got a large "extended family" that will invade my parent's church tomorrow (spent the day setting up, way too many to fit in anyone's home anymore), and I'm really looking forward to seeing MOST of them

And to all of you. I'm hosting, so no driving. Going over the Sepulveda Pass at noon on Turkey day is like Monday rush hour, only worse.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! My baby girl is having the whole crew to her house. She wants her new nephew to have a big family celebration with all of the grandparents in one place. My kid is a jewel!

Every member of family, not mine , her's, is coming over tomorrow for dinner. I'll be home: start the fire, In laws are here, turkeys's done, (wife's idea), glass of wine, thanks for all we have, sit down, say grace, eat some more, relax, watch football, have a cracker, some more pie, maybe some ice cream on top, talk to a few, BIL lost in the 60's, love it every year because there won't be many more. To all, have a happy Thanksgiving and enjoy all you have and each and every family person you hav.e

Yes, happy Thanksgiving to all. We should all be happy we can celebrate the day with food & family. Lots of people aren't as lucky as we are.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. I'm typing this from the breakroom at work...just finished up the last rush into LAX tonight. Had the pleasure of safely bringing lots of people to their families and loved ones today.

I'll add my thanks to this community as well.....hope it is/was a good one.

I was out front this morning fertilizing my Petunias (soluble concentrate 20-20-20) and looked up to see a BLOOM on my Screw Pine!

I planted this tree in '06 as part of a somewhat major front yard rehab which also including the addition of 2 gorgeous Bismarck Palm specimens as well as some new bed configurations. Anyway - we have had 3 straight years of record freezes here in central Florida and my Screw Pine has taken a hit each time. It's foliage canopy is only now getting back to it's normal beautiful panorama and now this huge inflorescence shows up!

It's like an early Christmas! Yes, I am thankful and take this as a sign of good things to come.

To all of the fine folks on this board, I hope that everyone has a great day today filled with great food, lots of love and laughter.

This has been a trying year for my family and throughout it all I have kept a sense of humor and that has allowed me to get through everything and come out better off.

From the old M*A*S*H tv series Sydney the Psych said it best, just pull down your pants and slide on the ice.
