Uh... judging from the pictures of her handling snakes I presume she can identify a rattle snake (common to Arizona dessert).

I am not a reptile loving person however I have a question... mice... why do you buy them?

My family raised a barn owl (yes you read that right) and my dad being the thrifty fellow he is bought a couple white mice and a cheap aquarium at a garage sale, instant mouse farm.

And guess who got the job of raising the mice? (No, I didn't watch him feed them to the owl)

you answered your own question.

raising mice, IMO, sucks. they smell, my wife won't tolerate it, and there is time and care involved. my snakes ate a few mice every month or so. much easier to just buy them.
