I have to dig some of them out because they are not organized very well in my hard disk. I also don't have too many. I usually do not take any pictures of our work. Do you know Dave at MS Road and Race?

Interesting thread. We recently replaced an ancient Maytag dishwasher - it worked very well but began leaking badly - with a Bosch. The Bosch is quiet, for sure, but really does a crappy job, compared to the Maytag. The Maytag never broke. Not once - uh, I mean, until the end. The Bosch went belly-up after we'd had it less than two years. Needed a new pump at a cost of $300. Repair man said, "The new stuff just isn't anywhere near as good as the old stuff." I believe him.
When we rebuilt our kitchen in 1999 we kept the old Maytag dishwasher mentioned above but added a GE Profile side-by-side fridge and a Thermador gas range. Both have been brilliant. Not a whisper of trouble from either of them. And we especially love the very-low heat settings that the Thermador burners allow. Believe it or not, the thing will melt chocolate on a paper plate - and not hurt the plate. So you can simmer or slow-cook something all day long, if you like, without worrying about burning it.

Jim,
Would you and your wife like to go to a Viking Experience, I think that's what they call it? They will feed you and go through their products and basically play with what ever appliances they have there. There are plenty. Good thing is that there is no sales pitch, just good old introduction to their products. I can't remember if they are in Fullerton or off the 605 somewhere, its been a long time since I gone to those things. Don't hold me to it, because I have to sweet talk my appliance dealer, plus I am not sure if Viking still offer such tour of their facility. I use to get clients in all the time. Thermador have theirs at Purcell Murry showroom in Huntington beach. Again, I am not sure if they are still running them due to the economy. I can find out. It is worth going and spending a couple of hours of your lunch time if you are in the market for highend appliances. Jeff |

Just came back from Thanksgivings at my Mother in Laws.
Normally we host it but due to selling our home and being in a rental we didn't have the room. I miss my large kitchen! Her standard stove caused a few slow downs. Her Mom has a Grandmother flat behind her house and the stove back there was used as well. Yes, I know that it's only a few times a year that you're feeding 15+ people. but having the larger ranges really is nice.
