I'm with Jim. After trying most of the $30-$100/pair boat shoes I've determined they all start to small so bad I dont care if they are falling apart or not. I usually get a summer out of a pair.
I like the most recent Timberlands, much better than the cheap BJ's set they replaced. |

I had a Timberland pair a while back that I liked too. You're right V^2, the smell helps define their usable lifespan. Especially when they soak up salt water.
