Had not thought of this one!

Great idea, I'll give it a try with a couple of my pocket sized pieces.

You guys should seen me 20 years ago, when I had a Desert Eagle in a shoulder holster, back then I was still real skinny, it was wider than I was
I only put that of for the look when going to the range. On the rare occasion that I do carry, like Rick, a Bianchi holster, but with a Glock....

Love my p9s and it probably will be going to robar soon. Only drawback is finding holsters. I got lucky and snagged a galco shoulder rig for mine that works nicely.

I've carried every day, wherever legally permissible for almost 4 years. My father and brother, both retired LEO's strongly recommended it...

Next question

With an automatic, do you carry with one up the spout? With a modern SA/DA that makes sense. But with an older SA only, condition 1 is sorta shaky.

Yes. Always one in the pipe. Though once in a great while, I have to carry my Glock in my riding jacket pocket and, when I do that, no round in the pipe. The trigger pull on that is just too light and, though I keep the trigger covered, I'm a little nervous about it. With the HK, it has a heavy pull on DA and a manual safety, so no concerns there at all.

FWIW, I know of two recent self-defense shootings where the good guy lived because he had a round in the pipe and thus didn't have to waste time racking the slide back, in one case, he didn't have a free hand to do so.

IWB strongside behind the hip when I can get away with it. Too often its a BUG in an ankle rig. Work requiring a little more descretion. I wear shorts alot, so P3AT in a wallet holster gets carried a bit as well.

I've also recently taken to carrying a huge sword, (about 4' long), open carry. It gives people the creeps but fk 'em, this is America.

I carry my 238 condition 1, but it is a new gun and has a few design tweaks over the old blueprints. The p9s stays with one in the chamber, safety off, hammer dropped to da

The S&W 4006 in a shoulder rig with 2 clips, PPK & 4013TSW both in Occidental Leather IWB. All with a round in the pipe with the safety on.

Keeping chambered or not is another whole discussion - I recently changed my standing policy and no longer leave or carry weapons chambered. For carry (most times) I use a Beretta 92 strong side hip holster (Bianchi) or alternatively a Glock 19 (bigger and harder to CCW but effective and simpler than the Beretta, which requires considerable practice to get comfortable relying upon for a high-adrenaline situation).

Once in a great while I'll carry my cz52 but never for CCW, just around my property. Military-issued holster, again strong-side.

Most of the time, my loaded DA/SA FEG PA63 lives in my brief case with the hammer blocking safety on and one in the pipe. On the rare occasion I stop for gas anywhere near the hood, it goes in my coat pocket or small of my back. My wife carries her little TCP in her purse on days she has to close the retail store she works at by herself.

I will likely buy a second TCP someday and "carry" that instead in a pocket holster. For me, the little TCP and LCP's are the only guns I can live with carrying full time. Anything even slightly bigger is too much of a pain for me to carry full time. I do not feel the need to carry very often, but I drive through some effed up areas for work on occasion and the thought of even a minute chance of some urban piece of ghetto trash car jacking me or robbing me at a gas station is reason enough for me to exercise my right to keep a gun with me.

The Keltecs come with a "rug" which works well as a rear pocket holster. With a spare magazine in the space under the trigger, it prints as a wallet, even in a pat down. To make it absolutely print wallet, a piece of cardboard or leather can be placed inside on the side that will face out.

The .32 and the .380 rounds are not underpowered. These were exactly the rounds used by the gansters in the 1920s &1930s. While it might be better to carry a hand cannon, these are certainly better than nothing. I will agree that for both of these rounds, using expanding hollow-points is worthless.

Given the choice, I can carry a strong side full size 1911 in an OWB holster. Usually, it is pocket carry with a .380. However, this time of year the 1911 is easy to conceal.

Ruger LCP in front pants pocket. I have several other pistols that I use for CCW, but the LCP is so light and easy to carry, it is the one I carry on a regular basis. With a pocket holster, if you see any print at all you just assume I am carrying my wallet in my front pocket.

5-shot J-frame S&W stainless revolver w/Crimson Trace laser sight in right front pocket with holster.
Every.
Single.
Day.

I load it with 148g wadcutters 'cause that what I practice with, and feel confident shooting. Tried some "personal defense" loads/hollowpoints that were a bit hot, and while more powerful, I felt I could be less accurate with them, as I could not afford to practice with them as often.

The only time I don't have it on me is in the office, where it's verbotten.

Caveat: I carry mostly to support my RIGHT to carry, rather than my NEED to carry.
