2013 Ford Fusion early info

Good looking sedan, IMO. Camry & Accord dealers beware?

It looks bloated. The 2012 model has better proportions.

Yea, not doing it for me either...just not a big fusion fan. Here, can't swing a dead cat without hitting one of those.

I see your point. After all, you hardly ever see a Camry or an Accord.

I like it. A little bit of Aston up front, much better than the boring looking new Passat.

Ford is now building a great car. I had a hard time realizing/believing that, but it is true. I bought a Shelby Mustang and am very impressed. And I am not worried about the motor blowing up or the RMS or the intermediate shaft etc.

I expected to not like it...

But I do!

Pretty sure it is out of my price range.

Like most modern cars, it looks better in the flesh. A little bit of Aston, a little bit of Audi A7. Much nicer interior than the current model.
Unfortunately, they will be at every stoplight within 6 months along with the new Explorer and Mustang and will quickly become invisible. Nice car nonetheless, just not for me.
A manual RWD sport sedan a la G8 would be great...

Funny you should say that, predominantly I see BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Audi. Not so much:

Unfortunately that's exactly what happened after I got my Jetta GLX in 2000. It was everywhere, and primarily driven by women (at least in Dallas). I had a quasi chick car.

I looked at the Fusion online last night and thought it looked interesting, but I don't want to see it at every corner and every rental car lot.

When does it go on sale?

The Pontiac G8 was GM's Austrailian Holden

Likewise, Ford makes an Austrailian manual RWD sport sedan..... the Falcon

Wish we got it here

Right...I should have included "other than the Falcon" in my original post.
Not a fan either.

Got grillz for a commuter car...

Fusion was starting to get a good reputation for mileage and build quality.
Why the expensive redesign?

New Toyota Camry this year
New Honda Accord this year
New Chev Malibu this year
New Hyundai Sonata last year
New Kia Optima last year

So why do you think it was refreshed?

You're right. Pack mentality and market demand.
Just lamenting about the good old days when a '85 junkyard hood would fit an '89.

Not that I'm a fan. but all of the above mentioned makers need to be aware of Hyundia. Hell I can't even spell it correctly, but for them to get Auto of the Year they are doing somthing right.

Not much else you can do with a dead cat, except maybe take it for a drag.
