Any of u got a hole in one ever?
For u golfers out there have you ever got a hole in one? The closest I have got is hitting the flag stick and the ball came to rest 6 inches from the hole. Tell me what club u used and the distance to the pin from the tee box. Did u buy a round of drinks at the club house or did u jump in your sporty car and burn rubber coz you were in shock?

Not me but my Dad did in the 70's. He got all kinds of free stuff from a bunch of companies along with the ball mounted. I'm sure they don't do squat these days.

I missed a hole in one by a day. Hit off an elevated tee about 165 yds onto the green. Got down there and my ball was resting on the plug where the hole placement had been the day before. I think I hit a 7 or 8 iron.

at the country club im at, we buy hole-in-one insurance. if somebody gets one, then they have to buy everybody in the club drinks. with insurance, they just take the money from the fund.

When the TV show E.R. used to have their tournament (they were really something, Simple Green Girls to clean your clubs, helicopter rides, raffle prizes galore) someone got a hole in one at Robinson Ranch. They won a brand new Bentley.

I had a ball plug where in landed on a wet green with about 25% of the ball overhanging the edge of the cup. It was in a formal tournament. A rules official was called out. Lift and clean the ball, repair ball mark, and replace was the ruling. No hole in one.
![]() Embraer- I'm with you on the double eagle. Holed a four-iron from about 210 in college. Had a second one two years ago by holing a two-iron from 248 (in cart GPS verification). Didn't even see it. The green was over a rise. Walked all around the green looking for my ball and eventually one of my partners looked down and saw it in the hole! I was happy to buy a round since the cart girl was particularly attractive that day ![]() Gotta love a 2 on a par 5...... Last edited by L8Brakr; 04-26-2012 at 12:10 PM.. |

To start off with, I have not played since my Dad died in the 80s and I only played to spend time with him. I was never any good and I did not enjoy the game so much as the time spent.
On course at F.E. Warren AFB in Wyoming. We were dodging the mule deer. Dad had just sent a beauty down a par 3 and we watched while some spooked deer ran across the fairway. I set my ball down, gave a rather nice swing, and sent one of my VERY few down the middle of the fairway shots! It bounced a few times and disappeared down the hole! Gopher hole that is. Dad was upset that I wanted to count it as a hole in one! He still beat me by double digits.... BIG double digits.

I had one. 129 yards with a pitching wedge. I was actually playing alone but someone on a nearby tee saw the ball go in. That was 35 years ago. None since...

Yes!
Short (just over 100 yards) second hole at the Radium Resort in BC. Was with my ex father in law when it happened. Funny thing is that the green is slightly elevated from the tee box and I didn't get to see it drop. I could hear the people on the number 3 tee box cheering though as it approached and fell into the hole. Screwed up the rest of my round!

I scored a "2" on a par 5 once. Three wood went in the hole. I knew at the time that I should have hung my clubs on my wall and never played again.

No, I've only played 5 times in my life, drunk the first time but the second time at a par 3 pitch & putt, 75 to 150 yd, I birdied 15 holes my dad was in shock, the next 2 times I played I would drop my ball beside my BIL's ball , he can pound it and I have more of a slap shot than a golf swing, lots of birdies those times too and I was using both left and right clubs, last time I played I learned how hard that game really is and never went back.

I've been playing for over 40 years and I have 21 hole in ones over that time. I would have had 22, but it was so dark out nobody saw it go in. I really got pissed and told everyone to get their eyes checked, even the Putt-Putt attendent who turned out the lights just then.
![]() Really, only 1 real one so far. In a C of C event on a 9 hole course, I got mine on #2, and recieved a sweater. If I had gotten it on hole 7, it would have been a riding lawn mower. Oh well.
