I don't know the circumstances in this case, but if you raped one of my kids and I knew you did it and you got off, you would need to be watching your back for the rest of your life.
Thanks for the enlightenment. I did not know the occupant was dead already.

Don't forget the two legged predators. Statistically I understand that u are more at risk from somebody you know
eg. spouse LOL! But in Alberta we have had some seniors in an rv killed by a younger person about 2 years ago. The offender has been caught. Drugs/alcohol etc and anything can happen.

I had to wade past this mom with cubs to meet the float plane. Cell phone pic. No zoom. With a river full of salmon I don't smell like lunch...

gosh their CUTE! i'll take a den of rattlesnakes and some mtn lions over that anyday. those damn things are PURE EXPLOSIVES with a very SHORT FUSE!

too watch them move at speed along the yellowstone river was really beyond words to see first hand. they are an incredible animal be it black or brown.

our exxperience in new messiko with 2 cubs running across trail while wifey and me on quad 4wd was cute for about maybe 5 seconds..................then it got real damn ugly FAST with momma bear coming running at us. "R" on my auto shifting yamaha grizzily is really "RACE REVERSE" and thats exactly what we did. we couldnt get out of there fast enough.

of course this was labor day and all the BERRIES ARE RIPE FOR THE PICKING! and they were hungry and its easy pickin's for them.

i respect them, they are cool to see, but i dont trust them any furthur than i can drop kick a freeking anvil, the exact same sediments i have for SHARKS as i am a diver also.

our drill now when berry picking(we fill 5 gallon buckets with them) is a group of us will be picking and (1) person stands guard with round in pipe with rifle (obviously .308 or 45/70) and the .44 mag 4".

i guess the best way to describe them is freight train with an ICBM tied to their azz be it black or brown or white.

If you're a pseudo-famous CW singer, and you hunt bears with a bow and arrow, you could have done this:

The trouble with killing a Sow is - she is the one that passes all the knowledge dwn from her mother all the way back.
So when you delete a Sow you just lost all the knowledge from all the way back...A real break in the chain

As I recall, Gentry received an equivalent slap on his arrow fingers, and they took away his "hunting" bow as well as Cubby (stuffed).

I wouldn't trust any handgun vs. a grizz -- the Freedom .454 is least dangerous.

So tell us about what we don't see in the frame. Surely there is someone there on 'guard'?

moses..you are insane!! a 5 weight? dude..use a six!

(i honestly dont fly fish and i dont understand what the heck you are talking about, but your hat is crazy!)

i know a man that has gone grizzly hunting 3 times and he has been empty handed. i believe it is mostly hype. i would use my brain..but carry a shotgun. i WILL bowhunt a yukon moose before i die. i will have grizzly medicine with me, but hope i dont ever have to use it.

That's my buddy Tad. I'm taking the picture. Just two idiots with fly rods. No guns. We have been much, much closer. I took the picture of the sow with cubs from about 30 feet away. I would have kept more distance but the river was too deep.

Ridiculous. Huge rainbows. 5-10 pounds each. And Silver Salmon on the Kamishak. Hook a salmon on nearly every cast. Fight salmon till your arms are tired. The Katmai national park is magic. You wanna go? Just let me know. I LOVE Alaska.

your best bear defense remains a couple of these. a gal i work with breeds karelians. horrible house pets though.

i talked to bush pilots, guides, dnr men, etc. the freedom 83 was all on their short list of dream guns. i decided against the .500 wyoming express and linebaugh because those calibres are unobtainable. .454 is over the counter here.

opinions vary. 90% think you need a recoilless rifle to stop a grizzly. 10% have a story about their neighbors 2nd cousins grandma who killed one with a .22 derringer. i am happy with the gun. but if i never test it against a bear i will not be upset.
