He loves cheese, but it doesn't love him. White rice warm, on his kibble does the trick.

There are several dry foods now that are gluten, wheat and soy free. Ingredients are usually lamb, rice and Chicken.

They grow up so fast!

Honey, 8 weeks old, after surviving Parvovirus, and 6 months later, at puppy school, all circa 1996.

RIP. You were a good girl.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1446741630.jpg

Presents! Who can resist?

Trayce, brought to me from the Emergency Clinic, given up because she had a broken leg and owners couldn't/wouldn't pay to fix it. She lived with me for 14 years.

RIP. You were a good girl, too.

My Wonder Dog.....

Roxy. Easiest dog to train I ever had. She only lived 10 years, due to hyperglycemia and pancreatitis, but I still think about her all the time.

And the two goofs together, Jack and Lily, both rescues and both the best dogs I have ever known (I may be biased lol)

Gromit made it to 11 years. Got an adrenal gland tumor and didn't survive the surgery to remove it. When the two younger dogs were puppies and irritated him enough, he'd mow them down and straighten them out instantly. Shortly after that, he'd play with them normally. When he got to be about 7-8 years old, he' rarely play with them, but he'd let them hammer him as much as they wanted. He'd just turn his head and let them go, even though he could have stopped it at any time. He should have lasted 4-6 years more, but you get what you get. He's always missed. Named him after the Wallace and Gromit dog.

Sorry for all your puppies' losses guys.....but thank you for posting the photos and fond anecdotes & memories about your babies.

I picked out a sympathy card at the store this evening that I will be sending to my friend in NC who just lost her female Red Heeler, Maggie Mae. My first thought was why don't they have "special cards" for people's fur children? I think I found one that will suffice although the rights words to convey the level of sorrow do not exist and never will.

Hug your babies....

We are collecting for the SPCA in an Islander neighbourhood, and I thought the boys should dress appropriately.
